Esitys
He luovat esityksen värikkään maailman, asut, naamiot, kattauksen ja yllättävät ruokalajit.
Faunin hahmossa Marttila hyödyntää tanssitaustaansa muun muassa kärkitossukavioiden muodossa. Lahikaisen pitkäaikainen butoh-tanssikokemus antaa Flooralle kasvinomaisen liikekielen.
Enjoy a bacchanal with Faun and Flora, and you may find answers to essential questions: Does your head have to be on top while sitting in a chair? Is it allowed to eat the flower arrangement? Do plants have faces? Should hooves be kept off the table? What if a tree grows through Parliament house?
Full-body masks transform the two performers into mythical creatures: Faun and Flora are humans, plants, animals, men and women, as well as all-or-nothing in between. The language of movement is a dance and acrobatics. The performance takes place on a table, and the table has been set with shadow theatre, Narnia, ancient Greece and Alice's Wonderland.
Performers are Lee Lahikainen and Tytti Marttila. Both have graduated from the Turku Arts Academy puppet theater department, and they have a dance and visual arts background. Both have worked in numerous professional theater productions as puppeteer, mask actors and stage designers, and they also have previous experience in street theater. They create the colorful world of the performance, costumes, masks, body paintings, table setting and surprising dishes.
As the Faun Marttila takes advantage of a lifelong dance background, in the form of pointe shoe hooves, among other things. Lahikainens' long-term butoh-dancing gives Flora plant-like movement language.
